Wild West<\/h1>\n

Description<\/h2>\n

The group stands in a circle. The person starting swings their arm and shouts “YE-HAH” in a Western accent, passing it to the next person. This goes around the circle. To change direction, a player can put their arms above their head in the shape of a barn, and shouts “HIGH-BARN”. If a player shouts “BANDITS” everyone in the circle runs around and swaps places while firing guns in the air. If someone says “there’s a snake in my boot” it’s a race to put your hand up and shout “I’ve got it”. More rules can be introduced throughout the game.<\/p>\n

Teaching Purpose<\/h2>\n

This connects the group and gets them thinking about the same thing. It helps people be more present. It’s also a way of introducing playing character without thinking about the term. This warm up also accelerates the\u00a0rate of failure, as more rules are added but nothing bad happens. You don’t stop the game you just carry on. It sets up that you’re in a place where you can mistakes.<\/p>\n
