{"id":30031,"date":"2023-06-19T17:55:41","date_gmt":"2023-06-19T16:55:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hooplaimpro.com\/?post_type=resource&#038;p=30031"},"modified":"2024-07-16T22:42:42","modified_gmt":"2024-07-16T21:42:42","slug":"after-party","status":"publish","type":"resource","link":"https:\/\/www.hooplaimpro.com\/after-party","title":{"rendered":"After Party"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>After Party<\/h1>\n<p>An occasional late night show running every six weeks or so after our main shows on Friday or Saturday nights.<\/p>\n<p>After Parties usually start around 10pm and run until midnight.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking for wild and experimental ideas that would suit a late night crowd. If it would work at The Hoopla Improv <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hooplaimpro.com\/the-hoopla-improv-marathon\">Marathon<\/a>, it would probably also work at the After Party.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re most likely to book 10-20 minute acts that we would then put together into a line up over the evening.<\/p>\n<p>Please note it is very tricky to bring in an audience after 10pm so we can&#8217;t guarantee the sold out audiences we get for our main stage shows.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-body\">\n<h2>Application notes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The show is usually free so is unpaid. If the event does switch to paid tickets we operate on a 70\/30 split with 70% of ticket income split between performing groups depending on how long their set is, and the remaining 30% to Hoopla to help cover venue costs and staff costs.<\/li>\n<li>We don\u2019t book much soloprov or twoprov, we mainly book groups of 3+, so that more people can be involved with the night.<\/li>\n<li>We try to fit everyone in but due to limited space and high demand we can\u2019t guarantee a spot for everyone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>What we look for<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>If your team is booked to play at Hoopla your group will be expected to do the following things:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Put on the show you have been booked for.<\/li>\n<li>Bring your full cast that\u2019s as expected for your show.<\/li>\n<li>Put on your best show.<\/li>\n<li>Bring in an audience.<\/li>\n<li>Promote the event on social media (@hooplaimpro), as a group and also as individual cast members.<\/li>\n<li>Share cast photos at the event on social media (@hooplaimpro).<\/li>\n<li>Stay until the end of the event to support the other acts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>We monitor these points and use them when deciding whether to then offer your group more dates in the future and when potentially progressing shows to other nights.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-body\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How to apply<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;re not currently booking for this show but it&#8217;s worth applying for our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hooplaimpro.com\/pre-party.html\">Pre-Party<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hooplaimpro.com\/mixer\">Mixer<\/a> shows instead.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":30032,"template":"","format":"standard","class_list":["post-30031","resource","type-resource","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Hoopla After Party<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Occasional late night weekend show.
