The follow on course is our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hooplaimpro.com\/london-comedy-improv-course.html\">Level 2: Performance Improv Course.<\/a><\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>Do I have to perform in front of an outside audience?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>No. You will not be performing in front of an outside audience in this course, just with the other people on the course. If you want to perform in front of an audience we also run our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hooplaimpro.com\/london-comedy-improv-course.html\">Performance Improv Course<\/a>, which is a good follow up to this course.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>Does it matter what teacher I have?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>No. We all come from similar performing and training backgrounds. We train and plan the courses together to make sure it\u2019s the same experience and we are covering the same topics.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>For the online course option what do I need to take part?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>Laptop with camera and an internet connection. Laptops work better than phones or ipads, but phones and ipads also work. We email you a zoom link for the course on the day of the first workshop.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>Can I transfer from an online booking to a real-life booking and vise versa?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>Yes. We don't have the tech on our website for you to do this automatically, but email classes@hooplaimpro.com if you would like to do this and we will move your booking and payment over and refund you any difference.<\/p><\/div><\/li><\/ul>[\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=&#8221;padder-right&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;]<ul data-multiple=\"true\"  class=\"accordion nav\"><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>What if I can\u2019t make every week?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>It\u2019s not worth doing the course if you are likely to miss more than two workshops, as we are trying to build a team over the course. We aren't able to offer a replacement session for any missed workshops, as all of our courses and workshops tend to be booked up at least a month in advance and we have to manage class numbers in line with our covid safety.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>What if I\u2019m running late?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>It\u2019s best not to sign up to the course if you are going to be late on a regular basis, as we are forming a team over the course. Also we tend to introduce the theme of each workshop at the start of the session, and also do all the warm ups at the start, so it\u2019s tricky to do if late. Once or twice is ok, but please don\u2019t sign up to the course if you are likely to be late on a regular basis.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>What is the class size?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>From 9-16 people depending on room size.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>What ages is it for?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>We are open to all ages over 18. Impro is suitable for all ages, we\u2019ve had everyone from 18 to over 80. It\u2019s physical but not more physical than normal every day life, and you are welcome to take a break whenever you want or sit out of exercises you don\u2019t think would be suitable.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>Is it like public speaking or stand up?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>This isn\u2019t a public speaking or stand up course, it\u2019s all about improvising scenes, games and stories as a team, it\u2019s not about performing solo on stage. It does help public speaking, as you will get used to thinking on your feet and being comfortable in front of an audience, but that's not the main aim of the course.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>What kind of people do your courses?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>We get people from  lots of different backgrounds, from a wide variety of ages. We\u2019ve had everyone from 18 to 80 on our courses. We\u2019ve taught improvisation to computer programmers, teachers, engineers, actors, accountants, comedians, students and more. We get lots of different people as it\u2019s a good place to relax and have some fun after work.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>Are the courses accessible to people who use a wheelchair?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>Yes. If you use a wheelchair please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hooplaimpro.com\/contact-about-us.html\">contact us<\/a>\n at time of booking and we will make sure your course is an accessible venue. We are happy to work with you to make all the games we play accessible. <\/p><\/div><\/li><li><div class=\"accordion-title\"><h4>Is this course suitable for people who have English as a second language?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\"><p>Our courses are very international so we do have many students who have English as a second language, but you will have to be fluent in English as we do a lot of improvised dialogue.
