Each pair is given a topic of conversation (something broad like pets, holidays or transport). They are asked not to make anything up, but to have a real conversation as themselves. They don\u2019t need to pretend to know about the topic if they don\u2019t. Get the three conversations going separately, then ask them to edit between them (only one conversation being heard at a time).
