Our teachers not only teach people the basics of improv but also the underlying ethos of the improv community, and therefore have a great effect on the overall improv scene.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"Normal\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span class=\"C-8\">Code of Conduct<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Be patient, kind and supportive.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Support each other, on stage and off stage.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Work together as a team.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Listen to your scene partner.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Collaborate with your scene partner, unless it is unsafe or demeaning to do so.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Respect physical boundaries and don\u2019t do anything physically dangerous to yourself or your scene partner.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Respect sexual boundaries, on and off stage.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Improvise from a place of fun, love, kindness and respect for your fellow improvisers and audience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Safety, trust and support is always more important than the temporary existence of an improv scene. So if in doubt, stop the scene, and you won\u2019t be made to feel bad for doing so.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Difficult subject matter in scenes is to be treated with full emotional intelligence, and your teacher is there to help you with this.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Help us to create an environment free from harassment, on and off stage.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Please no drug use or excessive drinking before teaching.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Support Team<\/span><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If at any point a student or teacher is worried about anything they can talk to one of our support team will be listened to and agreed actions can be taken if necessary. This is to ensure a safe playing and performing space for everyone where people are treated with respect and kindness. This will be treated with confidence between the support team and the teacher or student.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If the teacher or student has any doubt they should contact us, and not worry about \u201crocking the boat\u201d or similar.
